Axbridge’s Hidden Gem

“Absolutely fabulous”

Went to the tea shop for lunch today. Looked small at first glance and we had our dog but the ladies serving said they were dog friendly and we could take her up the stairs where there was extra seating.

It was lovely and quaint and the food was fresh and top quality. They even bought treats for the dog with our lunch.

Kids had cocoa art on their hot chocolate and there was crayons and stencils for them to create pictures whilst we waited for our food. Nothing was too much trouble. They were really friendly and asked about our holiday so far. Would highly recommend the scones my husband ended up having two cream teas they were so tasty.

“Great place”

Following a family walk we called in around 2.30pm on Sunday afternoon. The staff couldn’t have been more welcoming and the service was excellent. The coffee and cake were really good and they were more than happy to take lots of food orders late in the day for our group. It’s a lovely spot and we will definitely return. Couldn’t recommend highly enough. Also dog friendly which is great!!

“Lovely Atmosphere”

The Almshouse tearoom kindly hosted my baby shower upstairs in their beautiful vaulted room.

The tea room has such a lovely atmosphere and Linda and team were incredibly organised with the pre-ordered food. Everything about the food was perfect, such a great selection of sandwiches, cakes and lovely fluffy scones. Looking forward to returning again for another slice of Oreo cake. Thank you for such a fabulous afternoon.

An absolute gem of a teashop!

This beautiful, quaint, teashop nestled in Axbridge square is a joy to visit. The staff are friendly, welcoming & helpful, plus they serve some of the best scones/cream teas I’ve ever had. They welcome well behaved dogs too which is brilliant for all the walkers in the area. Really can’t fault the place
